This lesson will illustrate the process of adding a new command to the unattended operation scheduler to generate an alert email when inbound Functional Acknowledgments (997) are not received on time or are received with errors.
Please note that this command will only work with Builds of EDI Engine dated from 05/25/11 and on. For illustrated instructions on determining your Edition and Build, visit http://support.123edi.com/entries/341494-how-to-determine-your-edi-...

Open 997 FA setup
Before incorporating this new command, enter the number of business hours to wait before reporting a late Functional Acknowledgment (997).
1) Open the EDI menu
2) Select Setup
3) Select Company.
Set Functional Acknowledgments reporting schedule
1) Select the 997 FA tab.
2) Enter the number of business hours to wait before reporting a Functional Acknowledgment 977 issue on an outbound document. If this field is left empty (or zero) the system will report on the next day, which suits the typical distribution environment.

Your current unattended operation command is: edieng rcvd import export send proc_log_email
Add "proc_log_fa" to the command as shown below.
Example: edieng rcvd import export send proc_log_fa proc_log_email
